Sitesafe — Health & Safety

Our Commitment

Health and Safety Are Our Top Priority

Health and Safety are one of our core values. As a responsible employer, we believe effective health and safety practices contribute directly to improving the performance of an organization. We focus on complying with Health and Safety legislation, industrial standards, and Health and Safety performance.

NZ Health & Safety at Work Act 2015

All our work is carried out under New Zealand's Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 (HSWA) — the key legislation governing workplace health and safety in the construction industry. We identify and manage risks on every job, in the workshop and on site, so everyone goes home healthy and safe.

Site Safe New Zealand

We align our site practices with Site Safe New Zealand — the not-for-profit membership organisation that supports over 5,700 Kiwi businesses in building safer and healthier workplaces. Site Safe's guidance, training and prequalification systems (such as SiteWise) set the benchmark for health and safety in New Zealand construction.

Safety Training — Safety 'n Action

Our team's safety capability is supported by training aligned with Safety 'n Action, New Zealand's premier health and safety training provider with over 29 years of experience. Relevant course areas for our industry include height safety, first aid, fire and emergency, forklift and mobile elevating work platform (MEWP) operation, and permit-to-work.

Safe Steel Installation

Structural steel erection carries specific risks — working at height, crane lifts, and heavy components. Our installation crews follow safe work method statements, use certified lifting equipment, wear appropriate PPE, and coordinate closely with the main contractor's site safety plan on every installation.
